Stacking the Shelves (111) + Weekly Recap!

August is almost here! Which means our (late) Summer vacation is almost here! Sure, it’s not until the end of August, but we all know how fast the days fly by. This is my oldest daughter’s last week before going back to school (2nd grade) which will be kind of sad not to have her around all day…but also kind of nice to have some quiet time. It’s been hard for me to find time to read and it’s taking me almost a whole week to finish a book, it sucks! On the bright side, this helps my to-be-reviewed list from growing. Since I’m horrible at scheduling reviews or posts ahead of time (I always write them right before they go live), my blog will probably be quiet during my vacation since I will be computer-free and most likely internet-free too. I’m kind of looking forward to that :)

  1. Oooo, lots of pretty covers this week! I have yet to read Boomerang but I’ve only seen positive reviews on blogs so far, so that’s a good sign! I have to be honest though… absolutely hated The Vanishing Season D: I haven’t read Tiger Lily though, but I still might. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Nereyda! :)

    Have a fantastic week!

  5. I love your haul! You have great books. I was wondering how you were able to contact Simon & Schuster for review copies and/or audiobooks.

  6. Great haul like always ;) Boomerang is doing great on reviews everywhere. I read a few of them and put it in my TBR.

I listened last night Finding Cinderella and wow I ♥ it, Jason Carpenter did it again.

    Have a wonderful week

  8. My kids are going into 1st and 3rd grade and I’m going to miss them so much.

It looks like you got several good books! I’m pretty excited to read Boomerang. I got Finding Cinderella on audio (thanks for the contact email) but that site is so weird with my computer. I tried setting up the right programs to download my book, but wasted 5-6 hours and my computer was so screwed up. Oh well…
I hope you enjoy your books, Nereyda!

    • Yeah, I got used to having my kids around all day with me. This is the first Summer that I don’t work so I actually got to spend time with them, which was nice.

Do you have an Apple computer? I heard that people that have Macs have a hard time downloading from the S&S site. Mine is easy to download, although it took me a while to get the hang of it at first.

  9. Oh nice haul! Damsel Distressed sound intriguing based on its fairytale element! Hope you enjoy all your new reads once you get to them!

  12. I’m so nervous about The Vanishing Season. I hope we both end up liking it. The reviews are all over the board, which scares me. I loved Finding Cinderella. And I can’t WAIT to read Damsel Distressed!!! Enjoy your new goodies! :)

I had to look Damsel Distressed up and.. while I usually hate those sort of twists on fairy tales.. this sounds like a book I am going to want to read.
